Upon instruction of the Belgian Embassy in London, starting from today March 18th 2020, Visa Application Centres for Belgium in UK (London, Edinburgh and Manchester) are closed to public and will not receive any application until further notice.1.Wishing to reschedule appointments to a future date: We suggest you wait for further news on reopening time of the center to book a new appointment. 2.Wishing to cancel an appointment without knowing a new date: You don’t need to answer this email for cancellation. If you don’t attend your appointment, your online registration will be automatically deleted. You will only need to go through a complete new registration in order to get another appointment with a new reference number. For such a temporary travel restriction to have the desired effect in terms of restricting the spread of the virus, exceptions need to be limited to travel for essential purposes. Following the discovery of new cases of Coronavirus in Europe, we are taking all the necessary measures to ensure maximum safety of our visa customers and our staff. Our Centres remain open, but we ask you to respect any guidance provided on-site during your visa appointment. Increased visa fees for short stay visa following the revision of the Schengen Visa Code, implemented for all Schengen StatesPlease note that as of February 2, 2020 the Schengen visa fee per visa application will increase from 60 to 80 euros (equivalent amount in local currency). For children between 6-12 years old the visa fee will increase to 40 euros (or equivalent) and for the children between 12-18 years old the visa fee will increase to 80 euros. No change for other categories (Long Stay national visas, EU agreement). Visa for children under 6 years old and the family members of EU nationals remain free of charge.
As part of the admissibility requirements of a Schengen visa application, both pages 3 and 4 of the application form need to be signed by the applicant only, in order to avoid any delays in processing .
